Hollywood is a strange place. There’s no denying it’s a world unto itself. You’ll see things in the area that would be illegal everywhere else, or at least frowned upon with a giant, Bill Clinton-style upside-down smile. You’ll see people in giant, cartoon-like Prada sunglasses and baseball caps trying to hide their identity.

But there are probably more paparazzi and amateur photographers in Hollywood than there are stars, so these guys should stop trying to conceal their identity and just strut around dressed like ridiculous peacocks in what I can only assume they do as a joke to see how many idiots will follow their fashion just because they are famous. Sometimes when you see Brad Pitt’s grey beard in beads, or his ridiculous Carrera sunglasses, or his cloth shoes with bows, you start to wonder who is playing the joke on who.

One of the latest (and least great) trends we’ve seen in a while is a resurgence of the famous 1920’s hair styles. Katy Perry and Marilyn Manson’s wife are partly responsible for this, but so is the new fascination with vintage and retro looks. Rather than using the old hair styles the way they originally were, people are innovating them and making them apt for the 21st century by dying their hair ridiculous colors (aka: blue, pink, red) and then wearing it in traditional housewife styles. This started out as a cool look but now that every thirteen year old with an extra $12 and access to a sink has dyed their hair it isn’t punk, isn’t counterculture, and it just isn’t cool anymore. That makes you silly if you do follow the trend, you’re showing you have no personality of your own for developing your own variations of old or new fashion.

Fergie is a beautiful woman, there is no denying that, but in these (image) Tom Ford Maximillion TF206 model sunglasses she looks worn, old and distinctly unattractive. This is a prime example of a poor fashion choice, one that celebrities should avoid like the plague.

These particular shades should not be worn by anyone who has an even slightly chubby or square face. These were made for people with pointed chins and thin faces. These glasses would look great on a Kardashian or an Olson, but on a Fergie they make her face look droopy and old. This is probably exactly what Miss Fergie wants to avoid, especially given her clothing line and fame with the Black Eyed Peas.

These frames are such a poor choice for Fergie. Look how the top bar droops on the left and right, giving the impression of droopy eyes, a doped out look that any star needs to avoid, especially a musician—no need being a cliché. For anyone with a face shape similar to hers any sunglasses that droop or sag should be avoided. These frames would look great on Kanye, who has a strong face shape and the black wouldn’t stand out so drastically.

Fergi is not alone in fashion mistakes, but as someone with a great deal of money, advisers on fashion and brand building, and access to high end clothing and accessories there isn’t much of an excuse for her to walk out in public in a look that is so horribly suited for her.

After passing their RYA Yacht master Theory courses on the 1st of April the crew have given several interviews and have now begun to mentally prepare themselves for the arduous task ahead. While training has dwindled in intensity due to boat preparations and yacht theory training courses, the crew feels they are ready to take on the Indian Ocean.

How are they expected to stay hip and modern when clothing designers have all experienced designer’s block? Where clothing lags, accessories are favored. Get the look in 2009 by wearing plain or simple clothing fashions in black, grey or denim and then adding sparkles of color with a nice watch, designer eyewear and stunning shoes.
