Anne Hathaway is a stunning woman, a sexy, beautiful and intelligent feminine character in Hollywood. But why is she wearing the same frames as many elderly men in libraries and chess halls across Eastern Europe? This was how she dressed at the recent première of Rio (image).

These Carrera eyeglasses (or sunglasses with no lenses) offer something Hathaway couldn’t get without them—a distinct look in a Hollywood that is full of gorgeous women. She needs to look smart, young and approachable, a look she achieves by wearing girly clothing, geeky glasses and hair that is pulled back and yet wispy and falling out of control, almost like she jogged to the Rio première.

In this length of dress she is also adding a childish element to her look, especially given the long sleeves and heels that, unless you look closely, could be dress up materials. She has a distinctly childish and geeky look. Perhaps this is because she is premièring a kid’s film, but perhaps also she is trying to stand out in a world where beauty is everything.

To get the geek look, simply think like a teenager who still lives at home. You want to look sexy and fresh but not so sexy that your mom won’t let you leave the house. Think short sleeves, short skirts (past the fingertips!) and childish necklines. Form fitted is good, and loose, unkempt hair gives a wild and untamed look. Bold colors like black, red and white should be avoided as overly mature, but pastels, purple, blue and green are all perfect for the geeky childish fashionable look.

Fergie is a beautiful woman, there is no denying that, but in these (image) Tom Ford Maximillion TF206 model sunglasses she looks worn, old and distinctly unattractive. This is a prime example of a poor fashion choice, one that celebrities should avoid like the plague.

These particular shades should not be worn by anyone who has an even slightly chubby or square face. These were made for people with pointed chins and thin faces. These glasses would look great on a Kardashian or an Olson, but on a Fergie they make her face look droopy and old. This is probably exactly what Miss Fergie wants to avoid, especially given her clothing line and fame with the Black Eyed Peas.

These frames are such a poor choice for Fergie. Look how the top bar droops on the left and right, giving the impression of droopy eyes, a doped out look that any star needs to avoid, especially a musician—no need being a cliché. For anyone with a face shape similar to hers any sunglasses that droop or sag should be avoided. These frames would look great on Kanye, who has a strong face shape and the black wouldn’t stand out so drastically.

Fergi is not alone in fashion mistakes, but as someone with a great deal of money, advisers on fashion and brand building, and access to high end clothing and accessories there isn’t much of an excuse for her to walk out in public in a look that is so horribly suited for her.

Summer brings beach parties, fun and yes the occasional bout of sunburn and eyestrain. Try as you might to avoid this with creams, designer Prada sunglasses and large brimmed hats, its sure to win out and you’ll have sun spots in old age and wrinkles that look like craters. But for now, is there anything you care about more than a fun game of volleyball, dancing in the sunset on the beach and drinking a few beers? Probably not, that’s why youth is wasted on the young.

If you don’t want to look like an old lady prematurely, you know what to do. So think about why it is that you haven’t taken the steps necessarily to protect yourself? Don’t you love your sunglasses? If the answer to that is no, one way to motivate yourself to carry and wear them as much as possible is to buy a pair you really love and want to have on. Designer sunglasses have a great effect on any outfit, and if you find a pair you really like you should be able to keep them at hand. Nothing adds sex appeal like sexy sunglasses, and that’s a known fact!

What about sun screen lotion? Did you know what in China women dye their skin year round to make it whiter? The same goes for most of Asia, where white skin represents pedigree and class. Meanwhile, in the West we’re busy boiling ourselves outdoors to look darker. Maybe in the end all whites will burn themselves darker and darker folks will dye themselves whiter. What would be most beneficial would be if everyone was happy with their skin tone. Look what happened to Michael Jackson when he dyed his? Or Jane Fonda, when she overly tans. Not good!

Adams in Prada looks delicious and chic, but normally, let’s face it, this Hollywood hottie just can’t keep up with Hollywood fashion.
The news is out! Amy Adams has signed on to play Lois Lane in the new Superman remake. This is shocking news because the fashion-less Adams was recently nominated for best supporting actress for The Fighter, where she was slightly over weight and had the worst look of any Hollywood star in the business. Jumping from that role to one of a high-end reporter is going to be quite the leap.
There is something about Adams that is distinctly not fashionable, not sexy and decidedly not Hollywood. Perhaps this is what attracts directors to her look. She comes across as the girl next door, and her acting is decent enough that she isn’t just a woman with no talent and the wrong look, but a powerhouse with a bit of a unique feel.
One thing we recommend for red heads is to avoid colors that clash with their hair. Dressing a red head can either be extremely easy, if you have bright hair, or difficult if your hair is dirty blonde, like Adams’ is. She has done everything wrong in this picture, from the orange sunnies with brown tinting to the pink shirt with red sleeves and pink lipstick. If the shirt were blue and the glasses brown instead of reddish she’d look Hollywood. Instead, her ridiculous look seems almost calculated. The shape and design of these Prada sunglasses fits her face and makes her look more childish than she is, a good think for her pointed features. In short, she has the right items on, but in the wrong colors.
