Summer is finally here! And summer trends are the most fun fashion gets to have all year long! From Dior, to Prada and Tom Ford, everyone has launched new fun, relaxing looks that are sure to Harold in a great new season.
Summer is the time for cuteness, for delicate things, for silks, lace and ribbons and bows. Its not the time for high-fashion in black & white or for overly uptight looks. Clothes should feel loose, open and your skin should be bare and accessible to the slightest breeze. Summer is supposed to be fun, and the clothing needs to reflect this.
On the accessories side, belts, smaller bags and simpler sunglasses are all expected to be in fashion this summer. The giant bags of recent years are fading in popularity and smaller over-the-shoulder bags are taking their place. Sunglasses that are simple and timeless are replacing the oversized, bug-eyed sunglasses of the last five years. Tom Ford has a traditional line of winning sunglasses that all the celebrities and fashion stars love. Any of the timeless looks bring a touch of class and charm to any summer outfit.

This summer, expect to see pastels in full swing, with pinks and blues as the center pieces of ready-to-wear clothing. You’ll also find a lot of champagne and creative reds on the market to balance out the pinks. A new lingerie style of clothing has been slowly emerging on the market in recent summers, but this summer we expect it to stop hiding in the shadows and come out into the light.

Sand can ruin any good outing, and when it comes to electronics, sunglasses and a few other prized items sand can be a real pain. There are a few good methods to cleaning your Tom Fords of sand that won’t leave them ruined or damaged. If you have a pair of sandy sunnies, keep reading and you’ll soon learn the best methods for cleaning and restoring them to normal.

First, never wipe them! This will cause the sand particles to scratch your sunglasses. Even high-end sunglasses with scratch resistant coatings can do little against the harsh abrasive damage of sand. Instead, soak them in clean water long enough for all of the sand to naturally fall off on its own. Swirl the cup around if you have to, but never wipe, never ever wipe!

Next, you’ll want to down play the damage potentially caused with the sand by blow drying them after they have soaked sufficiently. This will blow off any residual particles without damaging your lenses or frames.

Finally, get a sunglasses cloth and wipe them down gently in one direction only, never circularly, and get off any grease or oil. They should be back to normal, sand and oil free and ready for another trip to the beach.

In the future, keep a case with you that is sand proof. Most cases shut quite tightly, but get an extra tight one or put your case inside a bag while you romp around on the beach. Sunglasses are expensive, so don’t risk damaging them by dropping them in the sand!

American hottie for the sake of hotness Kourtney Kardashian looks stunning in this city-wiseTom Ford Anouk-0057 model sunglasses. They really bring out the height in her cheekbones and the mixed colors on the frames do wonders to making more light appear to be falling across her face, a clever ploy to look more whimsical and mysterious. These are great pair of city sunglasses, with all the modern features sunnies need to stay hot without overdoing it and calling too much attention to your accessories.

Tom Ford is always a good brand, but another sure thing for city dwellers is the ever-popular Oliver Peoples brand. This isn’t an outdoorsy brand, an athletic brand or even an overly frill feminine brand. Instead, its made its reputation among city dwellers who like high fashion without looking pretentious or overly made-up. It is the perfect high-rise sunglasses brand perfect for any city girl.

Versace, Prada and Diorare hot city brands if you live in a major fashion city like New York, Paris or Milan. If not, then stick to the more functional and fashionable brands like Tom Ford and Oliver Peoples. Its nothing against Prada, Versace and Dior but they are a high-end fashion that isn’t really appropriate for day to day use for the average person. It comes across as cheeky if your average Jane wears Prada sunnies to work in her telemarketing office. When a celebrity does it its expected, its part of their lifestyle to be constantly under the microscope, but for your girl next door its snotty and somewhat snide to wear Versace on a random Thursday.

What What if you could insert high quality contact lenses like those from Focus, and they could be transition lenses, so when you go outside they also work as contact sunglasses. Contact sunglasses are not only a great idea, but as soon as technology catches up with ideas they’ll be available on the market.

What if you could have sunglasses that vanished as soon as they were no longer needed? If you are confronted with harsh light your sunglasses instantly appear and shield your eyes. As soon as the light disappears the sunglasses vanish! Perhaps they could exist as some sort of force field around your eyes, rather than a cumbersome device that weighs on your ears and nose.

How about lightweight sunglasses that can change color and style depending on your wardrobe? You could insert your sunglasses (via a USB port) into the computer and download the image you want it to project, for example purple Carrera Sunglasses. They project an image, like a solid-looking hologram, around your face that is also a UV protection shield.

What about a shield over large cities that lets in enough sunlight each day to give the vitamin D needed to survive and flourish but not enough to give cancer, damage eyes or destroy crops. The sun gives and takes life, but what if we could get the benefits without the dangers? What if a force field was all that was needed? Not that it’s a small order to create a city or global shield. But think of the benefits if we joined forces on R&D to work on concepts that are larger-than-life.
